Description

Delightful No-Knead Cranberry & Herb Bread enhanced with garlic butter.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary or thyme
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, yeast, salt, cranberries, and herbs.
  2. Stir in the warm water until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rise at room temperature for 12 to 18 hours.
  4. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  5. Place a Dutch oven in the oven to heat for 30 minutes.
  6. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and shape it into a ball.
  7. Place the dough on parchment paper, cover it, and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  8. Carefully transfer the dough (with the parchment) to the hot Dutch oven.
  9. Cover and bake for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake for another 10 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
  10. While the bread bakes, mix the garlic, softened butter, parsley, and a pinch of salt together.
  11. Let the bread cool slightly, then slice and serve warm with the garlic butter.
