Description
One-Pot Smoky Honey BBQ Steak Pasta is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that combines tender flank steak, al dente pasta, and a smoky honey BBQ sauce all cooked in one pot.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz (225g) pasta (your choice)
- 1 lb (450g) flank steak, sliced into thin strips
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
- 1/2 cup smoked honey BBQ sauce
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pot or Dutch oven, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced flank steak, seasoning with black pepper and salt. Sear for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove the steak from the pot and set it aside.
- In the same pot, add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until the onion is translucent and fragrant.
- Add the halved cherry tomatoes to the pot and cook for another 2 minutes until they begin to soften.
- Pour in the beef broth and bring it to a boil. Once boiling, add the pasta and the smoked honey BBQ sauce. Stir well and return to a simmer.
- Cover the pot and cook for 10-12 minutes, or until the pasta is al dente, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
- Once the pasta is cooked, fold in the seared steak and smoked paprika. Continue to cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to combine.
- Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve warm.
