Description

Oven-Baked Dumplings with Peanut Sauce is a delicious and easy-to-make dish featuring frozen dumplings baked in a creamy peanut sauce, complemented with broccoli and topped with fresh garnishes.

Ingredients

  • Garnish: ¼ cup sliced green onions
  • Garnish: ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • Garnish: 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • Garnish: 2–4 tablespoons chili crisp (optional, for spice)
  • Sauce: 2 cups broth or water
  • Sauce: ⅔ cup creamy peanut butter
  • Sauce: 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • Sauce: 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • Sauce: 2 teaspoons rice vinegar
  • Main Ingredients: 14–20 frozen dumplings (depending on dish size)
  • Main Ingredients: 2 cups broccoli florets, trimmed into small pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Prepare a medium casserole dish or an oven-safe braiser.
  2. Pour the broth into the baking dish, then add peanut butter, minced garlic, soy sauce, and rice vinegar. Whisk together until mostly blended.
  3. Place the frozen dumplings into the dish with the sauce, flat-side down, and spoon some sauce over the top to coat.
  4. Nestle the broccoli florets between and around the dumplings, ensuring they are partially covered in the sauce.
  5. Cover the dish with a lid or foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the cover and stir gently.
  6. Let the dish sit uncovered for about 5 minutes for the sauce to thicken slightly.
  7. Sprinkle with green onions, cilantro, sesame seeds, and chili crisp if desired.
  8. Serve straight from the baking dish, allowing the dumplings to soak up the peanut sauce.

Notes

  • Feel free to adjust the amount of chili crisp according to your spice preference.
  • For a vegetarian option, ensure the broth used is vegetable-based.
