Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup (plus more for serving)
  • 12 fully cooked breakfast sausage links (pork or turkey)
  • 1 tablespoon butter (for greasing dish)
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional, for a savory twist)
  • Powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter.
  2. Arrange sausage links evenly across the bottom of the dish.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together pancake mix, milk, eggs, vanilla, and 1 tbsp maple syrup until smooth.
  4. Pour the pancake batter over the sausages. Gently tap the dish on the counter to even out the batter.
  5. Optional: Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top for extra flavor.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool slightly, then cut into squares. Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with warm maple syrup.

Notes

  • Feel free to substitute sausage with vegetarian sausage if desired.
