Description

A refreshing fruit salad combining peaches and berries, perfect for a light dessert or snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe peaches, pitted and sliced
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup blackberries
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh mint leaves, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Start by preparing all the fruits. Slice the peaches into thin wedges and hull and slice the strawberries. Place all the berries (blueberries, strawberries, and blackberries) in a large mixing bowl.
  2. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the honey, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and cinnamon (if using) until smooth.
  3. Drizzle the honey mixture over the fruit and gently toss to combine, ensuring the fruits are evenly coated with the dressing.
  4. Let the salad sit for 10-15 minutes in the refrigerator to allow the flavors to meld together and the fruits to release their natural juices.
  5. Before serving, sprinkle the chopped fresh mint leaves on top as a garnish.
  6. Serve the fruit salad chilled and enjoy the refreshing taste!

Notes

  • For a tropical twist, you can add diced pineapple or mango to the salad.
  • You can also substitute the honey with maple syrup for a different sweetness profile.
  • This fruit salad pairs wonderfully with yogurt or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a more indulgent dessert.
  • If you prefer a less sweet salad, reduce the honey or leave it out entirely.
