Description
A refreshing fruit salad combining peaches and berries, perfect for a light dessert or snack.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ripe peaches, pitted and sliced
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 cup blueberries
- 1 cup blackberries
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
- 1 tablespoon fresh mint leaves, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Start by preparing all the fruits. Slice the peaches into thin wedges and hull and slice the strawberries. Place all the berries (blueberries, strawberries, and blackberries) in a large mixing bowl.
- In a separate small bowl, whisk together the honey, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and cinnamon (if using) until smooth.
- Drizzle the honey mixture over the fruit and gently toss to combine, ensuring the fruits are evenly coated with the dressing.
- Let the salad sit for 10-15 minutes in the refrigerator to allow the flavors to meld together and the fruits to release their natural juices.
- Before serving, sprinkle the chopped fresh mint leaves on top as a garnish.
- Serve the fruit salad chilled and enjoy the refreshing taste!
Notes
- For a tropical twist, you can add diced pineapple or mango to the salad.
- You can also substitute the honey with maple syrup for a different sweetness profile.
- This fruit salad pairs wonderfully with yogurt or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a more indulgent dessert.
- If you prefer a less sweet salad, reduce the honey or leave it out entirely.
