Description

Pesto Pinwheels are a delightful and easy-to-make snack featuring flaky puff pastry filled with zesty pesto and cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 puff pastry sheet (from a box of two, thawed according to package directions)
  • ¼ cup prepared pesto
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan or Asiago cheese

Instructions

  1. Unwrap the thawed puff pastry sheet and slice in half.
  2. Spread 2 tablespoons of prepared pesto on each half.
  3. Sprinkle ½ cup of grated cheese over the pesto.
  4. Roll the pastry tightly from the long side and seal the edge with water.
  5. Wrap the roll in plastic wrap and chill for at least one hour.
  6. Preheat oven to 425°F and line cookie sheets with parchment.
  7. Slice the chilled rolls into ½ inch thick pieces.
  8. Bake for 6-8 minutes until golden brown.
