Description
Delicious Philly cheesesteak stuffed inside cheesy breadsticks for a perfect appetizer or snack.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded provolone cheese (or mozzarella)
- 1/2 cup thinly sliced beef or steak tips (cooked)
- 1/4 tsp chili powder (optional)
- Salt, to taste
- Marinara or cheese sauce (queso), for dipping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangular shape, about ¼ inch thick.
- In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil and minced garlic. Brush this mixture evenly over the entire surface of the dough.
- Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese and half of the shredded provolone cheese over the dough.
- Spread the thinly sliced beef evenly across the dough. Sprinkle garlic powder, oregano, and a pinch of salt over the beef.
- Fold the dough in half, pressing lightly to seal. Use a pizza cutter or sharp knife to cut the dough into strips, about 1 inch wide.
- Twist each strip and place it on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each breadstick.
- Sprinkle the remaining shredded provolone cheese and optional chili powder over the breadsticks.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
- Serve warm with marinara sauce or queso dip.
Notes
- Feel free to customize the cheese according to your preference.
- For an extra kick, add some diced jalapeños to the filling.
- These breadsticks are best enjoyed fresh out of the oven.
