- 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, drained
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup crushed Ritz crackers
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained crushed pineapple, sugar, flour, and salt. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
- Stir in the melted butter and shredded cheddar cheese until evenly distributed.
- Transfer the pineapple mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
- In a separate bowl, combine the crushed Ritz crackers and chopped pecans (if using). Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the pineapple layer in the baking dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, you can add more shredded cheese to the casserole.
