Description

A fun and festive cheese ball shaped like a pumpkin, perfect for parties and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix (1 ounce)
  • 1⁄2 cup crushed nacho cheese-flavored tortilla chips
  • 1⁄2 cup finely chopped pimientos
  • 1 stem from a bell pepper
  • Crackers, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, and ranch dressing mix. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
  2. Shape the cheese mixture into a rough ball using your hands. Place the ball onto a piece of plastic wrap and roll it up, shaping and smoothing it into a more defined ball.
  3. Chill the wrapped cheese ball in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
  4. Once set, remove the cheese ball from the refrigerator and carefully unwrap it.
  5. Roll the cheese ball in the crushed tortilla chips until completely coated. Gently press the chips into any exposed parts of the cheese to ensure a full coating.
  6. Use a finger or the back of a spoon to create vertical indentations around the cheese ball to mimic the creases of a pumpkin.
  7. Press finely chopped pimientos into the creases. This will add color and more of a pumpkin effect.
  8. Place the stem of a bell pepper on top of the cheese ball to create the appearance of a pumpkin.
  9. Serve with crackers of your choice and enjoy!

Notes

  • Make sure to chill the cheese ball long enough for it to firm up properly.
  • Feel free to customize the cheese type and toppings based on your preferences.
