Description

A quick comfort dish made with shredded chicken, creamy ingredients, and a crispy Ritz cracker topping.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 sleeve Ritz crackers, crushed
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Transfer the chicken mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the crushed Ritz crackers with the melted butter, stirring until the crackers are evenly coated.
  5. Sprinkle the buttery Ritz cracker mixture over the chicken mixture in the baking dish.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the cracker topping is golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
