- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme
- 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary
- 1 pinch salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 5 oz goat cheese
- 1/2 cup walnuts
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Slice pears in half and remove cores carefully.
- Brush pears with olive oil and melted butter, then season with thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
- Roast pears for 20–25 minutes until tender but still holding shape.
- In a saucepan, warm maple syrup, butter, cinnamon, salt, and Dijon mustard until smooth.
- Toast walnuts in a dry pan for 3–5 minutes until fragrant.
- Remove pears from oven and let cool slightly.
- Add crumbled goat cheese to each pear half.
- Top with toasted walnuts.
- Drizzle warm maple mixture over pears and serve immediately.
