Description

Sausage, Egg & Cheese Breakfast Puffs are a delightful pastry treat filled with scrambled eggs, savory sausage, and melted cheddar cheese, making for a perfect morning meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 (17.3-oz) package puff pastry, thawed
  • 7 large eggs
  • 18 uncooked breakfast sausage links
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 Tbsp water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400ºF degrees. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet, scramble the 7 eggs. Set aside.
  3. Unfold both pastry sheets. Cut each sheet into 9 squares. You will have a total of 18 squares.
  4. Place scrambled eggs diagonal down center of the pastry square. Place one sausage link on top of each pastry square. Top with cheese.
  5. Fold two opposite corners of each square over the filling and press edges to seal. Place on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Combine 1 egg and water. Brush each pastry with egg wash. Sprinkle with parsley.
  7. Bake 15-18 minutes, until golden brown. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding chopped herbs or spices to the egg mixture.
  • These puffs can be made ahead of time and frozen before baking.
