- 1 tbsp baking powder
- ½ cup cold butter, cubed
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ¾ cup buttermilk (plus more if needed)
- ½ tsp onion powder
- 8 oz thin roast beef slices
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella or provolone
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp butter (optional)
- 1½ cups beef broth
- ½ tsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tsp soy sauce (optional)
- ½ tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- Combine flour, baking powder, salt, garlic, and onion powder. Cut in butter until crumbly. Stir in buttermilk until dough forms.
- Roll dough to ½ inch thick. Cut into circles. On half, add beef, cheese, and a splash of Worcestershire. Top with remaining circles and seal edges.
- Brush tops with buttermilk or melted butter. Bake at 400°F for 15–18 minutes until golden.
- Simmer all sauce ingredients for 5–7 minutes. Season to taste.
- Let biscuits cool slightly. Serve warm with sauce for dipping.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use a mix of mozzarella and provolone cheese.
- Feel free to add additional spices to the filling for extra flavor.
- These biscuits are best served fresh but can be reheated in the oven.
