Description

Deliciously seasoned shrimp served in a flavorful sauce, accompanied by crispy garlic bread.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, divided
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine (or chicken broth)
  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley, plus more for garnish
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 thick slices of French or Italian bread
  • Garlic butter (made by mixing softened butter with minced garlic and parsley)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread garlic butter on each slice of bread and arrange them on a baking sheet.
  2. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden and toasted. Set aside.
  3. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil and 2 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Season the shrimp with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet in a single layer.
  6. Cook shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
  7. In the same skillet, add 1 tbsp butter and the white wine (or chicken broth). Let it simmer for 1-2 minutes.
  8. Stir in the lemon juice, red pepper flakes (if using), and the remaining butter. Mix until smooth.
  9. Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat them in the sauce.
  10. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and stir gently.
  11. Divide the shrimp and sauce into bowls and serve with the warm garlic bread on the side. Enjoy!

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, increase the amount of red pepper flakes.
  • Feel free to substitute shrimp with chicken or a plant-based protein for different variations.
  • Ensure shrimp is cooked just until opaque to prevent overcooking.
