Description
A moist and flavorful pound cake with a sweet cinnamon pecan filling, finished with a drizzle of glaze.

- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 2 ½ cups granulated sugar
- 6 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 cup sour cream, room temperature
- 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
- For the Filling:
- ⅓ cup light brown sugar
- 1½ tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 cup chopped pecans (toasted)
- For the Glaze (optional):
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 Tbsp milk or cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F. Grease and flour a 10-inch bundt pan (or use baking spray with flour).
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy—about 3 to 5 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Scrape down the bowl.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and then the sour cream. Mix just until combined.
- Gradually add your dry ingredients to the wet, mixing just until the batter is smooth.
- In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar, cinnamon, and toasted pecans for the filling.
- Pour about ⅔ of the batter into the prepared bundt pan. Sprinkle the filling evenly over the batter, then top with the remaining batter.
- Pop it in the oven and bake for 60–70 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let it cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack.
- For the glaze, mix powdered sugar with milk or cream until smooth and drizzle over the cooled cake.

- For best results, use room temperature ingredients.
- Toasting pecans enhances their flavor.
- Adjust the amount of milk or cream in the glaze to achieve desired consistency.
