Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of pink lemonade concentrate with 1/2 cup of milk.
- Whisk the mixture together until smooth and well incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, pour in 2 cups of heavy cream.
- Using a hand mixer or stand mixer, beat the heavy cream on medium-high speed until it begins to thicken.
- Gradually add 1/4 cup of powdered sugar to the heavy cream while continuing to beat.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add the softened unsalted butter and granulated sugar to a large mixing bowl and beat together until light and fluffy.
- Crack the large egg into the bowl and add the vanilla extract and almond extract; beat until fully incorporated.
- Slowly add the flour mixture into the wet ingredients on low speed until just combined.
- Pour in the milk and stir until blended.
- Gently fold in the candied flower petals.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough, roll them into balls, and place on baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Flatten each dough ball slightly and sprinkle colored sugar on top.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
- Allow cookies to cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
