Description

A delicious steak recipe featuring a creamy garlic sauce that enhances the flavor of the meat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless steaks (sirloin or strip)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pat the steaks dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steaks and cook for 3-4 minutes per side (depending on thickness) for medium-rare. Adjust time for desired doneness. Remove steaks from the skillet and set aside to rest.
  3. Reduce the heat to medium and add butter to the same skillet. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the beef broth, scraping the bottom of the skillet to deglaze. Let it simmer for 2 minutes.
  5. Add heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Dijon mustard. Stir well and let the sauce simmer for 3-4 minutes until thickened. Season with additional salt and pepper if needed.
  6. Return the steaks to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them. Let the steaks warm in the sauce for 2 minutes.
  7. Plate the steaks and drizzle generously with the garlic cream sauce. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust cooking time based on steak thickness for desired doneness.
  • For a richer flavor, use aged Parmesan cheese.
  • Serve with a side of vegetables or mashed potatoes for a complete meal.
