Description
A delicious steak recipe featuring a creamy garlic sauce that enhances the flavor of the meat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless steaks (sirloin or strip)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Pat the steaks dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steaks and cook for 3-4 minutes per side (depending on thickness) for medium-rare. Adjust time for desired doneness. Remove steaks from the skillet and set aside to rest.
- Reduce the heat to medium and add butter to the same skillet. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the beef broth, scraping the bottom of the skillet to deglaze. Let it simmer for 2 minutes.
- Add heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Dijon mustard. Stir well and let the sauce simmer for 3-4 minutes until thickened. Season with additional salt and pepper if needed.
- Return the steaks to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them. Let the steaks warm in the sauce for 2 minutes.
- Plate the steaks and drizzle generously with the garlic cream sauce. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
- Adjust cooking time based on steak thickness for desired doneness.
- For a richer flavor, use aged Parmesan cheese.
- Serve with a side of vegetables or mashed potatoes for a complete meal.
