Description

A delicious blend of sticky garlic chicken served over noodles, bursting with flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes, optional
  • 8 ounces rice noodles or egg noodles
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds, optional

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red chili flakes to create the sauce. Set aside.
  2. Toss the chicken pieces with cornstarch until each piece is evenly coated.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until golden and fully cooked through, about 6 to 8 minutes.
  4. Pour the prepared sauce over the cooked chicken. Stir continuously to coat and allow the mixture to simmer until the sauce thickens, about 2 to 3 minutes.
  5. Cook noodles according to package instructions. Drain thoroughly and set aside.
  6. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet with chicken and sauce. Toss gently until all ingredients are well combined.
  7. Top with chopped green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, increase the amount of red chili flakes.
  • Feel free to substitute chicken with tofu for a vegetarian option.
  • Can be served with steamed vegetables for added nutrition.
