- 1 pound chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes, optional
- 8 ounces rice noodles or egg noodles
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds, optional
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red chili flakes to create the sauce. Set aside.
- Toss the chicken pieces with cornstarch until each piece is evenly coated.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until golden and fully cooked through, about 6 to 8 minutes.
- Pour the prepared sauce over the cooked chicken. Stir continuously to coat and allow the mixture to simmer until the sauce thickens, about 2 to 3 minutes.
- Cook noodles according to package instructions. Drain thoroughly and set aside.
- Add the cooked noodles to the skillet with chicken and sauce. Toss gently until all ingredients are well combined.
- Top with chopped green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, increase the amount of red chili flakes.
- Feel free to substitute chicken with tofu for a vegetarian option.
- Can be served with steamed vegetables for added nutrition.
