Delicious Strawberry Nougat Chocolate Bars with layers of nougat, strawberry filling, and a rich chocolate coating.

- 1 cup powdered sugar
- ¼ cup corn syrup
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup marshmallow fluff
- ¼ cup chopped dried strawberries (or freeze-dried strawberries for extra flavor)
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, finely chopped
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 ½ cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil (or butter)
Instructions
- Prepare the strawberry filling: In a small saucepan, combine the chopped strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for about 10 minutes, until the strawberries release their juice and the mixture thickens slightly. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
- Make the nougat layer: In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the corn syrup and powdered sugar, mixing until smooth. Remove from heat and stir in the marshmallow fluff and vanilla extract until fully combined. Fold in the dried strawberries.
- Assemble the bars: Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper. Spread the nougat mixture into the bottom of the dish, pressing it down evenly. Once the nougat layer is spread out, add the strawberry filling on top, smoothing it evenly.
- Chill the bars: Place the dish in the refrigerator and chill for at least 1 hour to set the layers.
- Coat the bars in chocolate: Once the nougat and strawberry layers are set, melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil together in a heatproof bowl over a double boiler or in the microwave, stirring until smooth. Pour the melted chocolate over the chilled layers, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
- Chill again: Return the dish to the refrigerator and chill for another 30 minutes, or until the chocolate is fully set.
- Serve and enjoy: Once the chocolate is set, remove the bars from the baking dish and cut them into squares or bars. Serve and enjoy your delicious, fruity, chocolaty treat!
Notes
- For a stronger strawberry flavor, use freeze-dried strawberries in the nougat layer.
