Description

Strawberry Shortcake Candy Apples are a delightful treat that combines the tartness of Granny Smith apples with the sweetness of white chocolate, Oreo crumbs, and strawberry drizzles.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 Granny Smith apples (washed & dried)
  • 6 wooden sticks or decorative straws
  • 3 cups white chocolate melting wafers (or white almond bark)
  • ½ cup strawberry-flavored candy melts (for drizzle)
  • 1 cup Golden Oreo cookies (crushed into fine crumbs)
  • 1 cup freeze-dried strawberries (crushed into crumbs)
  • Fresh strawberry slices (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Insert sticks into the top of each apple, ensuring they are dry.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt white chocolate wafers in 20–30 second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  3. Dip each apple into melted white chocolate, turning to coat evenly. Allow excess chocolate to drip off.
  4. Immediately dip the bottom half into crushed Oreos mixed with freeze-dried strawberries.
  5. Place apples on parchment paper to set.
  6. Melt strawberry candy melts and drizzle over coated apples for a striped design.
  7. If desired, top with fresh strawberry slices (press gently before chocolate hardens).
  8. Let apples harden completely at room temperature or in the fridge.
  9. Serve within 1–2 days for best freshness.

Notes

  • Ensure that the apples are completely dry before dipping to allow the chocolate to adhere properly.
  • For a more intense strawberry flavor, use a higher percentage of freeze-dried strawberries.
  • Store any leftover apples in an airtight container in the fridge.
