Description

Indulge in these creamy strawberry truffles, made with fresh strawberries and rich chocolate ganache.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it begins to simmer, stirring occasionally to prevent burning.
  2. Once the cream begins to simmer, remove the saucepan from the heat and add the semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  3. Stir the mixture gently until the chocolate chips are completely melted and the cream and chocolate are fully combined into a smooth ganache.
  4. Chop the fresh strawberries into small, bite-sized pieces, making sure to remove any stems or leaves.
  5. Stir the chopped strawberries into the chocolate ganache, making sure they are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
  6. Add the tablespoon of unsalted butter to the ganache and stir until it is completely melted and incorporated.
  7. Add the vanilla extract to the ganache and stir to evenly combine the flavors.
  8. Place the ganache mixture in the refrigerator for about 1 hour, or until it becomes firm enough to handle.
  9. Once the ganache has set and is firm enough, use a spoon or melon baller to scoop small portions of the ganache.
  10. Roll each portion of ganache into a ball between your hands, forming small truffles.
  11. Place the truffles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper to prevent them from sticking.
  12. After all the truffles are shaped, sift the cocoa powder onto a plate or shallow dish.
  13. Roll each truffle in the cocoa powder, coating them thoroughly on all sides.
  14. Once the truffles are coated, place them back on the parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
  15. Refrigerate the truffles for at least 30 minutes to allow them to set fully.
  16. Serve the strawberry truffles chilled or at room temperature, and enjoy the sweet, creamy treat.

Notes

  • Ensure that the strawberries are fresh for the best flavor.
  • You can substitute the cocoa powder with crushed nuts or coconut for different coatings.
  • Store the truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
