- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 small green bell pepper, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

- Stir in ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the beef mixture and stir to combine.
- Arrange frozen tater tots in a single layer over the sloppy joe mixture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, or until the tots are golden and crispy.
- Remove from oven, sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of cheese over the top, and return to oven for 5 more minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- Feel free to add more veggies to the beef mixture for extra nutrition.
- You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
