Description

A flavorful grilled pork tenderloin infused with teriyaki sauce, perfect for any barbecue.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs pork tenderloin
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup mirin (Japanese sweet rice wine)
  • 2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, mirin, honey (or brown sugar), rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and vegetable oil to create the teriyaki marinade.
  2. Place the pork tenderloin in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour marinade over it. Seal or cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight, to allow flavors to infuse.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove pork from marinade, reserving marinade for basting.
  4. Grill pork tenderloin for about 15-20 minutes, turning every 5 minutes and basting with reserved marinade, until internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  5. Remove pork from grill and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.
