Description
A flavorful grilled pork tenderloin infused with teriyaki sauce, perfect for any barbecue.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 lbs pork tenderloin
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup mirin (Japanese sweet rice wine)
- 2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, mirin, honey (or brown sugar), rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and vegetable oil to create the teriyaki marinade.
- Place the pork tenderloin in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour marinade over it. Seal or cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight, to allow flavors to infuse.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove pork from marinade, reserving marinade for basting.
- Grill pork tenderloin for about 15-20 minutes, turning every 5 minutes and basting with reserved marinade, until internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
- Remove pork from grill and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.
Notes
- Marinating overnight enhances the flavor.
- Adjust cooking time based on thickness of pork tenderloin.
- Serve with steamed rice or vegetables for a complete meal.
