- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 red chili pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 cucumber, julienned
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1/4 cup roasted peanuts, crushed
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the beef for 2-3 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove from heat and set aside.
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, fish sauce, lime juice, brown sugar, garlic, and red chili pepper until the sugar dissolves.
- In a large bowl, combine cucumber, cherry tomatoes, red onion, and cilantro.
- Add the cooked beef to the vegetables, then pour the dressing over the mixture. Toss everything together to combine.
- Drizzle with sesame oil and garnish with fresh mint leaves and crushed peanuts before serving.
Notes
- This salad can be served warm or cold.
- Feel free to adjust the spiciness by adding or reducing the amount of red chili pepper.
- Can substitute beef with chicken or tofu for a different protein source.
