Description

A fresh and flavorful Thai Beef Salad featuring tender beef, crisp vegetables, and a tangy dressing.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 red chili pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 cucumber, julienned
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1/4 cup roasted peanuts, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the beef for 2-3 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove from heat and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, fish sauce, lime juice, brown sugar, garlic, and red chili pepper until the sugar dissolves.
  3. In a large bowl, combine cucumber, cherry tomatoes, red onion, and cilantro.
  4. Add the cooked beef to the vegetables, then pour the dressing over the mixture. Toss everything together to combine.
  5. Drizzle with sesame oil and garnish with fresh mint leaves and crushed peanuts before serving.

Notes

  • This salad can be served warm or cold.
  • Feel free to adjust the spiciness by adding or reducing the amount of red chili pepper.
  • Can substitute beef with chicken or tofu for a different protein source.
