Description

Turtle Lush is a delightful and indulgent dessert featuring layers of creamy goodness, chocolate pudding, and a crunchy Oreo crust, topped with caramel and pecans.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups Oreo crumbs
  • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 16 ounces thawed whipped topping, divided
  • 1 (5.9-ounce) box instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 3 cups cold milk
  • 1 cup chopped pecans, divided
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/4 cup chocolate syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the Oreo crumbs and melted butter. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. Bake the crust for 8-10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let cool completely.
  4. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
  5. Fold in half of the whipped topping and half of the chopped pecans, mixing gently to combine. Spread this mixture evenly over the cooled crust.
  6. In another bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and cold milk until thickened, about 2 minutes.
  7. Spread the pudding layer over the cream cheese layer.
  8. Spread the remaining whipped topping over the pudding.
  9. Drizzle the caramel sauce and chocolate syrup evenly over the top.
  10. Sprinkle the remaining chopped pecans over the entire dessert.
  11. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, allowing the layers to set and flavors to meld before serving.

Notes

  • Use cold milk when preparing the pudding to ensure it sets properly and has a smooth texture.
  • For an extra touch of indulgence, drizzle warmed caramel sauce just before serving.
