Description
Turtle Lush is a delightful and indulgent dessert featuring layers of creamy goodness, chocolate pudding, and a crunchy Oreo crust, topped with caramel and pecans.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 cups Oreo crumbs
- 8 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 16 ounces thawed whipped topping, divided
- 1 (5.9-ounce) box instant chocolate pudding mix
- 3 cups cold milk
- 1 cup chopped pecans, divided
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- 1/4 cup chocolate syrup
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, combine the Oreo crumbs and melted butter. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Bake the crust for 8-10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let cool completely.
- In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Fold in half of the whipped topping and half of the chopped pecans, mixing gently to combine. Spread this mixture evenly over the cooled crust.
- In another bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and cold milk until thickened, about 2 minutes.
- Spread the pudding layer over the cream cheese layer.
- Spread the remaining whipped topping over the pudding.
- Drizzle the caramel sauce and chocolate syrup evenly over the top.
- Sprinkle the remaining chopped pecans over the entire dessert.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, allowing the layers to set and flavors to meld before serving.
Notes
- Use cold milk when preparing the pudding to ensure it sets properly and has a smooth texture.
- For an extra touch of indulgence, drizzle warmed caramel sauce just before serving.
