A magical dessert made with funfetti cake and a colorful frosting, perfect for celebrations.
Ingredients
Scale
- 432 g funfetti cake mix
- 1 large egg
- 113 g salted butter, melted
- 120 ml heavy cream
- 226 g cream cheese, room temperature
- 113 g salted butter, room temperature
- 420 g powdered sugar
- 15–45 ml heavy cream
- 5 ml vanilla extract
- Purple and blue food coloring
- Sprinkles, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 175°C. Lightly grease or line a 23×33 cm baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine funfetti cake mix, egg, melted butter, and heavy cream. Stir until a smooth batter forms.
- Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared pan. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center emerges clean.
- Allow the baked base to cool completely in the pan before proceeding with frosting.
- In a large bowl, beat together cream cheese and butter until smooth using a hand or stand mixer. Gradually mix in the powdered sugar, blending 60 g at a time until light and fluffy.
- Add heavy cream and vanilla extract, beating in 5 ml increments, until the frosting reaches a light, spreadable consistency.
- Divide frosting into two bowls. Tint each portion with purple and blue food coloring to desired shades.
- Alternately spread colored frostings over the cooled base. Use a spoon or flat spatula to swirl for a marbled effect. Top with sprinkles.
- Slice into bars and serve at room temperature.
Notes
- Ensure the butter is at room temperature for easier mixing.
- Feel free to adjust the amount of food coloring based on the desired intensity.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
