Description

Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers are a delicious appetizer combining the heat of jalapenos, the creaminess of cheese, and the savory flavor of bacon.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large jalapeños
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened (half block)
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 12 slices thin-cut bacon (avoid thick-cut)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  2. Slice the jalapeños in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds and membranes with a spoon.
  3. Combine the cream cheese, shredded cheddar, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and salt in a mixing bowl, beat until smooth.
  4. Spoon the cheese mixture into the jalapeño halves, filling them generously but not overstuffing.
  5. Wrap each stuffed jalapeño half with a slice of bacon, overlapping slightly as you go.
  6. Place the wrapped jalapeños on the prepared baking sheet, seam side down.
  7. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the cheese is bubbling.

Notes

  • For a spicier popper, leave some seeds in the jalapeños.
  • Serve with a dipping sauce like ranch or cream cheese for added flavor.
