Description
A simple and delicious recipe for soft and fluffy banana donut holes, perfect for a quick snack or dessert.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup Banana (1 large banana)
- 3/4 cup Self-Rising Flour (note 1)
- 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1/4 cup Unrefined Sugar (note 2)
- 2 tablespoons Coconut Oil (melted, or melted vegan butter)
- 2–3 teaspoon Melted Coconut Oil
Instructions
- Mash the banana into a smooth puree, ensuring you have 1/2 cup for the donut batter.
- Add the flour and stir with a rubber spatula until lumps form. Use oiled hands to knead the dough into a ball.
- If the dough is sticky, continue kneading with a bit of oil, adding flour only if necessary (up to 2-3 tablespoons).
- Grease your hands with melted coconut oil and roll about a tablespoon of dough into a ball. Place on a plate with parchment paper.
- Spray avocado oil on top of the dough balls.
- Spray oil in the air fryer basket and arrange the donut holes with 1 inch apart.
- Air fry at 350°F (180°C) for 6-7 minutes until golden brown.
- Brush each warm donut hole with melted coconut oil and roll in cinnamon sugar.
- Serve warm immediately.
Notes
- Don’t over-add flour; the dough should remain moist and elastic.
- The donut holes may not be perfectly round; this is normal.
