Description

A simple and delicious recipe for soft and fluffy banana donut holes, perfect for a quick snack or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup Banana (1 large banana)
  • 3/4 cup Self-Rising Flour (note 1)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup Unrefined Sugar (note 2)
  • 2 tablespoons Coconut Oil (melted, or melted vegan butter)
  • 23 teaspoon Melted Coconut Oil

Instructions

  1. Mash the banana into a smooth puree, ensuring you have 1/2 cup for the donut batter.
  2. Add the flour and stir with a rubber spatula until lumps form. Use oiled hands to knead the dough into a ball.
  3. If the dough is sticky, continue kneading with a bit of oil, adding flour only if necessary (up to 2-3 tablespoons).
  4. Grease your hands with melted coconut oil and roll about a tablespoon of dough into a ball. Place on a plate with parchment paper.
  5. Spray avocado oil on top of the dough balls.
  6. Spray oil in the air fryer basket and arrange the donut holes with 1 inch apart.
  7. Air fry at 350°F (180°C) for 6-7 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Brush each warm donut hole with melted coconut oil and roll in cinnamon sugar.
  9. Serve warm immediately.

Notes

  • Don’t over-add flour; the dough should remain moist and elastic.
  • The donut holes may not be perfectly round; this is normal.
