Description

A comforting and delicious casserole featuring layers of cheesy goodness, chicken, and crispy tater tots.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken
  • 1 bag frozen tater tots
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon bits
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lightly grease a baking dish.
  3. In a bowl, mix cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and milk until smooth.
  4. Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Fold in cooked chicken until well coated.
  6. Stir in half of the cheddar cheese, mozzarella, bacon bits, and green onions.
  7. Spread mixture evenly into the baking dish.
  8. Arrange tater tots in a single layer on top.
  9. Sprinkle remaining cheese and bacon over the top.
  10. Bake for 35–45 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  11. Garnish with remaining green onions.
  12. Let rest 5–10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For an extra crunch, broil for a few minutes at the end.
  • Can substitute chicken with leftover turkey for a different flavor.
