Description

Ingredients

  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Granulated White Sugar
  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • ¼ cup Granulated Sugar (for rolling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cream softened butter and granulated white sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy, about 1-2 minutes.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until pale and fluffy, taking another 1-2 minutes.
  5. Mix in the dry ingredients gradually until just combined.
  6. Scoop the dough into balls, about 2 tablespoons each, and roll them in granulated sugar.
  7. Flatten each ball slightly into a circle.
  8. Bake for 9-10 minutes until the edges are set and the centers look slightly underbaked.
