Description

Chicken Chowmein Masala is a flavorful and delicious dish made with chowmein noodles, tender chicken, and a variety of colorful vegetables, all stir-fried in savory sauces.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g chowmein noodles
  • 300g boneless chicken, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup cabbage, shredded
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the chowmein noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced chicken and stir-fry for 5-7 minutes, or until cooked through.
  3. Add the minced garlic and sliced onion to the skillet, and sauté for 2-3 minutes until the onion is translucent.
  4. Stir in the bell pepper, cabbage, and carrot, and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  5. Add the cooked chowmein noodles to the skillet, followed by the soy sauce, oyster sauce, chili sauce, black pepper, and salt. Toss everything together until well combined and heated through.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust the spice levels by adding more chili sauce if desired.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables like peas or broccoli for additional nutrition.
  • Serve with extra soy sauce on the side for those who like more flavor.
