Ingredients

- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate frosting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper.
- Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla.
- Alternate adding dry ingredients with milk until combined.
- Spread batter evenly into pan.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes until edges are set.
- Cool completely before frosting.
- Spread frosting evenly over bars.
- Slice and serve.
Notes
- For best results, use room temperature butter and eggs.
- Make sure to let the bars cool completely before frosting to prevent melting.
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature.
