Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz pasta of choice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Cook pasta: Boil your pasta according to package instructions. Don’t forget to salt the water! Drain when done and set aside.
- Heat oil: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Sauté garlic: Add the minced garlic and let it sauté until you can smell that fragrant goodness—about 30 seconds.
- Add tomatoes: Stir in the diced tomatoes and let them cook for about 2-3 minutes to soften.
- Creamy magic: Lower the heat and pour in the heavy cream along with the Italian seasoning. Stir it well and let it all simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Season it up: Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Combine pasta and sauce: Toss in your cooked pasta, coating it well with that creamy sauce.
- Garnish and serve: Serve hot, topped with fresh basil or parsley and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese if you’re feeling fancy.
Notes
Stir often to prevent sticking and taste as you go to adjust seasoning. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
