Description
Crispy Air Fryer Banana Pepper Rings are Deliciously Easy to make and deliver a perfect balance of flavor and crunch.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb fresh banana peppers, sliced (seeds removed if you prefer less heat)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- Olive oil spray or other high-heat cooking spray
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, garlic powder, sea salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Pat the banana pepper slices thoroughly dry with a paper towel. Toss them in the seasoned flour until they are evenly coated on all sides.
- Let the coated peppers rest on a plate for about 5 minutes. This helps the coating adhere to the peppers.
- Arrange the coated banana peppers in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd; cook in batches if necessary for the best results. Give the tops a generous spray with olive oil.
- Air fry for 8 minutes, or until golden-brown and crispy. You can check them around the 6-minute mark to ensure they don’t overcook.
- Carefully transfer the crispy peppers to a plate lined with a paper towel. Let them cool slightly before serving with your favorite dipping sauce, like Ranch dressing.
Notes
- Ensure the banana peppers are patted dry for better adherence of the flour coating.
- Cooking time may vary depending on your air fryer model, so check for desired crispness.
