Description

A delicious homemade version of the classic Snickers bar, featuring layers of chocolate, nougat, caramel, and peanuts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 C nestle semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 6 tbsp plus 1/4 C creamy peanut butter
  • 7 oz marshmallow creme fluff
  • 1 C powdered sugar
  • 3/4 C unsalted roasted peanuts
  • 11 oz caramels, unwrapped
  • 1/4 C heavy whipping cream

Instructions

  1. Using a double boiler, combine 1 C chocolate chips and 3 tbsp peanut butter, and melt until smooth.
  2. Pour melted chocolate into the baking dish and smooth out. Place into the freezer while you make the nougat.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the marshmallow fluff, 1/4 C peanut butter, and powdered sugar. Mix until combined.
  4. Using your hands, push down the nougat onto the first layer of chocolate.
  5. Lightly push in the peanuts.
  6. In the clean double boiler pot, melt the caramels and heavy whipping cream. Stir the caramel until fully melted.
  7. Pour the melted caramel over the nougat.
  8. Place into the fridge for 20 minutes.
  9. After washing the double boiler one last time, repeat the first step with the remaining 1 C chocolate chips and 3 tbsp peanut butter.
  10. Pour the melted chocolate over the cooled caramel and place back into the fridge until hardened.
  11. Use a sharp knife to cut into squares. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Ensure to wash the double boiler thoroughly between steps.
  • For a thicker layer of caramel, feel free to increase the amount of caramels used.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for longer freshness.
