Ingredients

  • 8 slices white bread, crusts removed
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar (for filling)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Flatten each slice of white bread using a rolling pin until thin and flexible.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, 1/3 cup sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and fluffy.
  4. Spread a generous layer of the cream cheese mixture over each slice of flattened bread.
  5. Roll each slice tightly into a log, sealing the edge by pressing gently.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon together for coating.
  7. Brush each roll with melted butter, then roll generously in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  8. Place the coated rolls on the prepared baking sheet, seam side down.
  9. Bake for 18–20 minutes or until golden brown and crispy on the outside.
  10. Let cool slightly before serving to allow the filling to set.
