Description

Kentucky Cream Pull Candy is a delightful homemade treat known for its creamy texture and sweet flavor, perfect for indulging or gifting.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon butter for greasing hands and surface

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, mix the granulated sugar, heavy cream, light corn syrup, and salt. Stir over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Continue stirring until the mixture reaches a rolling boil and cook until it reaches the soft ball stage, around 234°F to 240°F.
  3. Remove from heat and add in the vanilla extract, stirring well.
  4. Allow the mixture to cool for a few minutes, then butter your hands and work surface.
  5. Pour the mixture onto the buttered surface and let it cool until safe to handle, about 10-15 minutes.
  6. Once cool enough, knead and stretch the candy until smooth, then shape it into desired forms.
