- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
- In a saucepan, mix the granulated sugar, heavy cream, light corn syrup, and salt. Stir over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
- Continue stirring until the mixture reaches a rolling boil and cook until it reaches the soft ball stage, around 234°F to 240°F.
- Remove from heat and add in the vanilla extract, stirring well.
- Allow the mixture to cool for a few minutes, then butter your hands and work surface.
- Pour the mixture onto the buttered surface and let it cool until safe to handle, about 10-15 minutes.
- Once cool enough, knead and stretch the candy until smooth, then shape it into desired forms.
