Description

Delicious and easy-to-make Maple Bacon Turkey Sliders that combine the sweetness of maple syrup with savory bacon and turkey.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 Tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 yellow onion, medium, thinly sliced
  • 1 Package Hawaiian rolls, 16 Ounces
  • 10 Slices bacon, cooked
  • 1 Pound turkey, deli, thinly sliced or shredded leftover turkey
  • 6 Slices white cheddar cheese
  • 3 Teaspoons maple syrup
  • 2 Teaspoons dried onion, minced
  • 1 Teaspoon poppy seeds
  • 2 Teaspoons parsley, fresh, minced
  • cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray the bottom of a 9×13 baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. In a large skillet over medium high heat, add 2 tablespoons of the melted butter and the sliced onions. Sauté until caramelized.
  3. Slice your sheet of Hawaiian rolls in half lengthwise and place the bottom half into your baking dish.
  4. Add the bacon in an even layer on top of the bottom rolls.
  5. Next, add a layer of the turkey (shredded leftover turkey or deli-sliced turkey), followed by the caramelized onions and finally the cheese.
  6. Place the top bun layer back onto the sliders.
  7. Mix together the melted butter, maple syrup, dried onion and poppy seeds. Generously brush across the tops of the slider buns.
  8. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the sliders are cooked through and the cheese is melted.
  9. Optional: Put the cooked sliders under the broiler for 2 to 3 minutes to brown the top of the rolls.
  10. Garnish the tops of the warm sliders with the fresh minced parsley and serve immediately.
