Description

A delicious beef braciole recipe that is sure to melt in your mouth.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs thinly sliced flank steak
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup sun-dried tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • Olive oil for drizzling
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Lay the flank steak slices flat on a cutting board, and gently pound them to a thinner consistency if needed for tenderness.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine chopped spinach, grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, sun-dried tomatoes, minced garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  4. Evenly distribute the filling over each slice of flank steak, leaving about half an inch from the edges.
  5. Starting from one end, roll each flank steak slice tightly and secure with kitchen twine or toothpicks to hold the filling inside.
  6. In a large oven-safe skillet, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium-high heat. Carefully place the beef rolls seam side down in the skillet and sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side until browned.
  7. Pour the marinara sauce over the beef rolls, making sure they are well covered.
  8. Cover the skillet with a lid or aluminum foil and transfer it to the preheated oven. Bake for 35-40 minutes until the beef is tender and the flavors meld together.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it rest for about 5 minutes. Carefully remove the twine or toothpicks before slicing the braciole into rounds.
  10. Serve the beef braciole on a plate, spooning extra marinara sauce over the top, and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • Presentation Tips: Serve on a rustic wooden board or a white plate for contrast, drizzle with additional marinara, and sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley for a pop of color.
