Description
Delicious and festive red, white, and blue candied apples perfect for 4th of July celebrations.
Ingredients

- 6 medium red apples, washed, dried, stems removed
- 4 cups white chocolate chips
- blue sparkling sanding sugar or blue sprinkles
- popsicle sticks
Instructions
- Line a cookie sheet with wax or parchment paper and set aside. Add the sprinkles to a bowl. Set aside.
- Place a popsicle stick into the center of each apple.
- Pour the white chocolate chips into a microwave safe bowl and microwave on high for 30 seconds. Remove and stir. Continue for 15 second intervals until completely melted.
- Dip each apple into the melted white chocolate leaving 1/3 of the red apple showing. Let the excess white chocolate drip back into the bowl.
- Carefully hold the apple over the sprinkle bowl and use a spoon to sprinkle the bottom portion of the white chocolate apple with blue sprinkles.
- Next, place the dipped and sprinkled apple onto the prepared cookie sheet and let the chocolate harden completely.
Notes
- Make sure the apples are completely dry before dipping.
- You can use different colored sprinkles for various occasions.
