Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a round cake pan.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar until bubbling; stir in chopped pecans.
- Cream softened butter and granulated sugar in a bowl; add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then incorporate the vanilla.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt; gradually add to the wet mixture until just combined.
- Pour the pecan mixture into the prepared pan, then spread the batter evenly on top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean; cool slightly before flipping onto a serving plate.
