Description

A simple and delicious dessert recipe featuring pineapple and cake mix.


Ingredients

  • 1 can pineapple tidbits, juices mostly drained
  • 1 can (20oz) pineapple chunks, juices mostly drained
  • 1 ½ sticks unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 box cake mix (yellow, vanilla, or pineapple)
  • ½ cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375º Fahrenheit.
  2. Drain most of the juices of the canned pineapples and transfer the fruit into a 9×13 baking pan.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine cake mix and melted butter. Use a fork and stir until the mixture is completely mixed and crumbly.
  4. Sprinkle the brown sugar and the cake mix crumble evenly over the pineapples.
  5. Bake the dump cake at 375º Fahrenheit for 45 minutes.

Notes

  • Let the cake cool slightly before serving to allow it to set.
  • Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for added delight.
