Description

A festive and delicious Red Velvet Christmas Poke Cake, perfect for holiday celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box (approximately 15.25 ounces) red velvet cake mix
  • 3 large eggs (as directed on the cake mix package)
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil (as directed on the cake mix package)
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup whipped topping
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Red and green sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the red velvet cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and buttermilk. Mix until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  4. Once baked, let the cake cool for about 10 minutes. Then, poke holes all over the cake using a fork.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix the powdered sugar, cream cheese, whipped topping, and milk until smooth.
  6. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cake, making sure it fills the holes.
  7. Refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours to let the flavors meld.
  8. Before serving, top with red and green sprinkles for a festive touch!

Notes

  • For an extra burst of flavor, add a splash of vanilla extract to the cream cheese mixture!
