  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1 cup frozen peas or broccoli (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly grease a casserole dish with butter or cooking spray.
  2. Cook and shred the chicken into bite-sized pieces if not already prepared.
  3. Crush the Ritz crackers into medium crumbs leaving some larger pieces for texture.
  4. In a large bowl, combine cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Add the shredded chicken to the creamy mixture and stir until evenly coated.
  6. Fold in peas or broccoli if using for added texture and nutrition.
  7. Stir a small amount of crushed Ritz crackers into the filling mixture.
  8. Spread the chicken mixture evenly into the prepared casserole dish.
  9. Mix the remaining crushed crackers with melted butter until coated.
