Description

A delicious and easy slow cooker appetizer featuring smoked sausage and a sweet and tangy sauce made from honey barbecue, cranberry, and pineapple preserves.


Ingredients

  • 36 ounces smoked sausage (3 packs of 1214 ounces)
  • 1 cup honey BBQ sauce
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1 cup pineapple preserves
  • 1 cup cranberries
  • 1 cup pineapple tidbits

Instructions

  1. Slice up your sausage and place into your slow cooker.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the BBQ sauce, cranberry sauce, and pineapple preserves. Stir to combine.
  3. Pour the sauce into the slow cooker and stir.
  4. Add in the cranberries and pineapple tidbits, stir.
  5. Cover and cook on high for 4 hours or low for 6 hours, stirring frequently to prevent the sugars from burning.
  6. Serve!

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, consider adding some chopped jalapenos or red pepper flakes.
  • This dish can also be served over rice or with toothpicks as finger food.
