Description
S’mores Banana Boats are a fun and tasty dessert that combines the classic flavors of s’mores with the sweetness of bananas, all cooked on the grill.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 ripe but firm Bananas
- 1 cup Mini marshmallows
- 1 cup Chocolate squares or chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate recommended)
- Heavy-duty aluminum foil
- Optional toppings: chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans), peanut butter or Nutella, shredded coconut, sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium heat (about 350°F).
- Wash and dry the bananas. Slice each banana lengthwise, stopping about half an inch from the bottom to keep it intact.
- Gently pry open the slit and stuff with about 2 tablespoons each of mini marshmallows and chocolate squares. Add optional toppings if desired.
- Place each stuffed banana on a piece of heavy-duty aluminum foil and wrap tightly to seal.
- Place foil packets on the grill grates and cook for 8–10 minutes, turning once halfway through. Check after 8 minutes for golden marshmallows and melted chocolate.
- Remove foil packets using tongs and let cool for a minute or two before unwrapping carefully.
- Serve warm, scooping into bowls or eating straight from the foil.
Notes
- Ensure bananas are ripe but firm for best results.
- Use heavy-duty foil to prevent tearing during cooking.
- Experiment with different toppings to suit your taste.
