Description
Indulge in the delightful taste of Strawberry White Chocolate Bars, featuring a soft and chewy base topped with creamy white chocolate and rich condensed milk.
Ingredients
Scale
- 115 grams unsalted butter, very soft
- 1 box (432 grams) strawberry-flavored cake mix
- 1 large egg
- 170 grams white chocolate chips
- 240 milliliters sweetened condensed milk, fat-free recommended
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 175°C. Line a 23×23 cm baking pan with aluminium foil and lightly coat with non-stick spray. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat softened butter with an electric mixer on medium-high speed until smooth and creamy.
- Add strawberry cake mix and egg to the bowl. Beat on low speed until a thick, cohesive dough forms and no dry spots remain.
- Spread approximately two-thirds of the dough evenly into the prepared pan to form the base. Use a spatula or lightly greased hands for easier handling.
- Scatter white chocolate chips evenly over the dough layer. Drizzle sweetened condensed milk uniformly on top.
- Place remaining dough in small portions (about 2.5 cm pieces) across the surface. Gently press down without fully covering the filling.
- Bake for 27–30 minutes, until edges are set and just turning golden, and the centre is mostly set with a slight jiggle.
- Transfer pan to a wire rack and cool for a minimum of 2–3 hours, or preferably overnight, until bars are firm enough to slice.
Notes
- For best results, allow cooling overnight before slicing.
- These bars store well in an airtight container for several days.
- Feel free to use regular sweetened condensed milk if fat-free is not available.
