Description

Delicious and easy-to-make Air Fryer Pizza Meatball Subs, perfect for a quick meal or snack.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 frozen Italian meatballs
  • 4 hot dog buns
  • 3 oz pepperoni slices
  • ½ cup pizza sauce
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 400F.
  2. Drop the frozen meatballs into the air fryer basket.
  3. Air fry the meatballs at 400F for 10 minutes.
  4. Line the hot dog buns with pepperoni slices.
  5. Spoon about half of the pizza sauce over the pepperoni and then top with about half of the shredded mozzarella.
  6. Place 4 cooked meatballs in each hot dog bun and then place the subs in the air fryer basket.
  7. Combine the melted butter, garlic powder and parsley in a small bowl and mix well.
  8. Brush the garlic butter over the buns in the air fryer basket.
  9. Spoon the remaining pizza sauce over the meatballs.
  10. Top with the remaining shredded cheese and some pepperoni slices.
  11. Air fry at 400F for 4 minutes to melt the cheese and toast the buns.
  12. Serve and enjoy!
