Description
Delicious baked beans enhanced with the unique flavor of Dr Pepper, making for a perfect side dish or potluck item.

- 4 (28 ounces) can pork and beans
- 8–12 slices bacon, cooked and chopped
- 1/2 onion, diced
- 1/2 green bell pepper, diced
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 Tbsp yellow mustard
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 cup Dr. Pepper
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Parsley or green onion for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients. Stir gently until mixed well.
- Pour into a large oven-proof skillet or 9×13 baking dish.
- Bake for up to 2 hours. The length of baking time depends on how you like your beans. If you like a thicker, stickier bean, leave it in for 2 or more hours. If you prefer saucier beans, then 1 ½ hours might be more to your liking.
- Remove from oven and serve!

- Feel free to adjust the amount of bacon based on your preference.
- This dish can be prepared a day ahead and reheated before serving.
